New Degrees to be Offered

Beginning in January 2004, NCCU's School of Library and Information Sciences will add to the number of courses offered online for both the MIS and MLS degrees. Pending approval by the University, we will offer online and campus-based undergraduate degrees in Information Science. We will also offer a campus-based undergraduate minor in Library Science.

We will also improve our online MS in Library Science. For the first time ever, we will offer the beginning courses Use and Selection of Reference Materials (LSIS 4220) and Organization of Knowledge (LSIS 4400) online. Additionally, in the spring of 2004, we will offer Social Sciences Resources (LSIS 5220) online, and in the fall 2004, Humanities Resources (LSIS 5230) online. This will mean that distance education students will be able to more nearly duplicate the programming offered to traditional campus students. Hence, we will no longer accept online duplicates for these courses offered elsewhere.
