DETAILS: Collaborate with
staff throughout the libraries to provide outstanding
library services to faculty and students in the sciences and engineering
at Boston University. Act as primary liaison with department chairs,
faculty, and students for assigned subject areas. Provide library
instruction, research, and consultative services for faculty and
students in the discovery, evaluation, and organization of scholarly
resources. Develop and maintain web-based materials to support and
supplement these services. Manage library collections for two or more
assigned subject areas in the sciences and in engineering. Maintain a
thorough knowledge of resources in assigned subject areas and stay
abreast of major developments in scholarly communication, STEM
librarianship, and higher education. Working with staff throughout the
Libraries, integrate appropriate technology into all aspects of work to
maximize efficiency and scalability.

POSITION: Part-Time Evening and Weekend Librarian
DETAILS: The North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics, NCSSM, Borden Mace Library is looking to hire a Librarian, Library Science graduate student, or Information Science professional to work two evenings a week, every other Sunday evening, and four Saturdays. Between 10 and 15 hours per week are available. This position is an ideal opportunity for a professional librarian or graduate student enrolled in a School of Information and Library Science who is interested in working part-time during the academic year when school is in session.
