MIS Student Carla Hunt Gets Published


Carla Hunt, an MIS student at NC Central University's School of Library and Information Sciences, is co-author of a paper that has just been accepted for publication as part of the proceedings of the IEEE SoutheastCon in Fort Lauderdale, April 8-10, 2005.

The paper, entitled "JXPL: An XML-based Scripting Language for Workflow Execution in a Grid Environment" (Word document), describes a new scripting language, written in XML, that is intended to be a workflow language to easily interact with Web and grid services. The paper, co-authored with UNC-Wilmington faculty members Clayton S. Ferner and Jeff L. Brown, outlines the motivation behind JXPL, introduces its grammar, provides examples, and discusses current and future work with the scripting language.
