Professor Robert Burgin has been elected Vice-President/President-Elect of the North Carolina Library Association for the 2003-2005 biennium.
Burgin follows Associate Professor Pauletta Brown Bracy, who has served as Vice-President/President-Elect of the Association for the 2001-2003 biennium and who will become President of the Association at its Biennial Conference in September 2003.
Two alumni of the School have also been elected to offices on the Association's Executive Board. Dale Cousins (MLS, 1986) was elected one of two Directors at Large, and Evelyn Council (MLS, 1987) was elected SELA Representative.
The North Carolina Library Association (http://www.nclaonline.org/) is an affiliate of the American Library Association and the Southeastern Library Association. The 1100-member Association is the only statewide organization concerned with the total library community in North Carolina.
