NCCU SLIS student Karin Shank won the 2005 Sara Aull student paper award of the North Carolina Chapter of the Special Libraries Association. Presented at the April 28, 2005 Annual Business Meeting and Awards Banquet, the paper must be of publishable quality. Ms. Shank's paper was entitled "PDAs in the Library: Lessons in Innovation, Promotion, and Collaboration."

Jessica Rubis, a 2003 graduate of NCCU SLIS, won the Chapter's Horizon Award. This award is presented to a relatively new Chapter member who, through workand professional activites, shows promise of becoming an outstanding member of the profession.
